Brand, assets and launch of an innovative new space
FIBREHUB is a newly repurposed building between Pool and Camborne in Cornwall. The offices and workspaces offer tech, software and digital businesses and freelancers flexible spaces, rapid internet connectivity and a community where they can share ideas.
The project is the brainchild of Headforwards co-founder, Toby Parkins and is the beginning of a longer term strategy to create a FibrePark, where industry integrates more closely with education, and the tech, software and digital sector, one of the fastest growing in Cornwall, becomes more visible to young people.
With the construction work underway and the name already in place, our role was to commission and implement the brand and website, and deliver a launch event.
The launch event for the building took place in November 2021, a few months after it had opened for use and companies had begun to move in. We ran an all day event with sector partners in the day, and a stakeholder focused VIP launch in the evening.
The objective for the evening event was to remind stakeholders of the strategic plan for FibreHub to evolve into FibrePark and to showcase the building and its place in the local community.
With the plan to use the on-site auditorium to deliver speeches on the evening of the event, we wanted to make the most of the screen in the room and commissioned a fly through drone film of the building to quieten the room before starting the speeches, and which also allowed us to show people around the whole building without needing to coordinate tours.
Food and drink was delivered through the on-site caterers in Nimbus cafe, and we asked strategic partners to deliver speeches, working with them on a brief and coordinating key messages. Attendees included stakeholders from across industry and the private and public sector.
