My approach to marketing blends commercial experience with a strong belief in the power of creative to engage audiences.

But no matter how good your vision is, it’s not a strategy unless it can be delivered. High impact marketing relies on a series of great systems, processes and talented people that can translate what your business needs, into marketing and communications that delivers results.

 

Marketing consultancy

With almost 10 years’ experience as a marketing consultant, I have worked with organisations across B2B, B2C and the public sector. Industries have spanned finance, fishing, FMCG, hospitality, software solutions and visitor destinations, with the common thread being a need for change, a drive for growth or a challenging context.

Most often, I’m bought into organisations by CEOs, finance directors, the board or business consultants, but I also directly support marketing teams with campaigns and planning.

To do great things you need great people.

Marketing and communications is a team sport, and needs support from across the organisation. This is often fundamental to the success of projects, in particular with organisations navigating change or growth.

Projects are always led by me, setting the strategic direction, delivering the plan and working closely with the client. Many projects require additional expertise and I use my extensive network to bring in the right individuals, partners or agencies as they’re needed, commissioning and coordinating the overall delivery. Clients only pay for the time and resources they need, making it cost-effective and efficient, while my project co-ordination keeps coherence, consistency and focus on the end goal.

Clients often need in-house recruitment, either as well or instead of external resourcing. I often lead this process on behalf of my clients, developing the job descriptions, screening and interviewing alongside the in-house team.

About us



Gaining my experience in commercial SME contexts, I learned to focus on using marketing as a tool to support the delivery of business objectives. I worked in commercial and marketing roles with businesses in fishing, finance and investment before moving into food, drink and hospitality. As a business consultant and interim Marketing Director I worked with a diverse range of clients in B2C and B2B, from tech to restaurants to FMCG.

I specialise in delivering marketing from a commercial perspective, distilling objectives into a structured marketing approach, using creative campaigns to engage audiences.

My interest in business led me to study a management and leadership programme and I explored using creativity and creative processes to solve problems with the European Institute of Design in Barcelona through a Design thinking for business transformation course.

I am also a non-exec director leading on marketing and communications with Wales Golf, the national body for golf in Wales.
